This surrealistic dress watch is inspired by the Cartier Crash and the painting The persistence of memory by Salvador Dali. The 1950's were known as the decade in which the world was recovering from the aftermath of World War 2. However, in the 1960's the situation had changed. Known as the "Swinging Sixties", the young were challenging the status quo and wanting to be different from their parents.
As a result watches being released in this time period were more unique. Cartier launched the Cartier Crash in 1967. The watch was made in very limited quantities in the 1970's and the 1980's. The biggest release of Cartier Crash watches was in 1991: a limited edition of 400 pieces were released.
Nowadays the Crash is worn by both male celebrities (e.g., Kanye West, Jay-Z, Elton Jon, Timothée Chalamet, LeBron James, Tyler the Creator) and female celebrities (e.g., Lauren Santo Domingo, Kim Kardashian).
At auctions in the past 5 years the Cartier Crash has been sold for between €63.000 and €176.000. You can get the same looks for just 1,1% of that price: €199 (including free worldwide shipping)!

I found out about Uniq Watch Mods on Instagram. After seeing the positive reviews on the website and on Trustpilot, I decided to order this Crash Watch. The watch arrived in less than 2 weeks to Australia. Daniel kept me up to date about the status of my order. Very happy with the looks and the build quality.
This watch has both a classic and a unique look. Before ordering I asked a few questions via Instagram, which were replied to quickly. The delivery took one week (to the UK), it could have been a little bit faster. Very happy with my new timepiece.
Bought this watch for my mom. The delivery to France took circa 6 days. The watch looks even better in person. My mom is very happy with it!
This watch looks very cool on the wrist. It makes me think of the Cartier Crash and the melting clocks of Salvador Dali. A very unique piece for sure. Might be ordering the gold one soon...
I found Uniq Watch Mods on TikTok. After talking to Daniel he showed me pictures of this watch. The gold one looked very chique on the pictures! I ordered it and 1 week later it was delivered to my address in Spain. In the metal the watch looks even better. Muchas gracias!
