This Seiko Mod resembled the luxurious style and feeling of the Royal Oak Chronograph. The Royal Oak is an iconic watch that was designed by Gerald Genta in 1972. Two decades later, in 1993, Audemars Piguet added the Royal Oak Chronograph to the Royal Oak collection.

A steel, robust, and industrial-looking sports watch was the complete opposite of the yellow gold dress watches that were being produced at the time. Since then the Royal Oak has become a watch that is loved by Hollywood, artists, and the hip hop scene.

The reliable Seiko VK63 hybrid movement offers the best of both worlds: the timing accuracy of a quartz watch paired with a mechanical stopwatch function. This combined with 10ATM water resistance means that you can enjoy this watch for years to come. From the office to the beach, this mod will never look out of place.

Disclaimer: This is a custom-built watch. I have created this watch using a Seiko movement. All other parts are not made by Seiko.

  • Brushed and polished Royal Oak-style integrated bracelet.

  • Aftermarket black dial with an applied Seiko logo.
  • Steel fixed bezel.
  • Screw down crowns.
  • Steel case back.
  • 10ATM waterproof (suitable for showering, swimming, surfing, and snorkeling).

Personalization

This watch can be customized by adding a custom dial and/or a custom case back to your order.

Dimensions

  • Case size: 41mm.
  • Lug-to-lug: 51mm.
  • Thickness: 11mm.
  • Lug width: 26mm (at the case) tapers to 18mm (at the clasp).
  • Brushed and polished Royal Oak-style bracelet suitable for wrists up to 21cm.

Included in the box

  • Hard plastic case.
  • Spring bar removal tool (to remove straps without quick-release spring bars).
  • Mini screwdriver.

Shipping

Total time from order to shipping: 2-3 weeks.

Every watch is produced on a made-to-order basis.

This means that all the necessary parts to build this watch are going to be ordered once the payment amount is in on the company bank account (usually 2 days after you complete the checkout).

It then takes 2-2,5 weeks for all the parts of the watch to arrive, for the watch to be assembled and to be made waterproof (if applicable).

The watch is then shipped with PostNL (The Netherlands, Belgium) or DHL (rest of the world). The tracking number is shared via email.
